Graduated in May 2015. Got my licence in August then opened the book. Huh! I could have done without it. However, good advices regarding resumes and cover letters. It goes on an on on things your teachers will tell you an it really doesn't give you anything that stands out for Nursing so... don't waste your money.
I highly recommend this book to any nursing student! It is never too early in your nursing career to get this book, in fact, the earlier the better! It really helped me see what areas I needed to improve to make myself the best candidate possible. I am now much better at networking, and marketing myself more effectively. The suggestion to make some business cards for myself was priceless, I have already impressed a few people with them. My resume is much stronger than it used to be, and I feel much better about the job search that lies ahead of me after graduation (yes, even in this job market!). I know it is tough out there for us new grads, so do yourself a favor and get this book!
